The intent of our carefully sequenced Design & Technology curriculum is for children to move on from Chirton:
- Having developed a range of skills needed to make high quality products
- Evaluating their own designs effectively and improve on it
- An ability to plan, appreciating the design process which has influenced the products we use in everyday life
- Resilience to see a project through to the end
- To understand the necessity and develop the skills to use equipment safely
