WISA (Wiltshire Independent Support and Advice) Service Action for Children have been awarded the contract to run the Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS) for Wiltshire from 1 April 2015. They are also running the Independent Support Service (IS) commissioned by the Council for Disabled Children so have decided to merge this service into the WISA (Wiltshire Independent Support and Advice) Service. The service will focus primarily on ensuring that the voice of the child/young person is heard and ensure they can fulfil their dreams and aspirations through navigating families through the Education and Healthcare Planning process. The NSPCC helpline is a place adults can contact by phone or online to get advice or share their concerns about a child, anonymously if they wish. It's staffed by professional practitioners with backgrounds in jobs like teaching, healthcare and social work, who know how to spot the signs of abuse and what to do to help.
